Programs For Youth

The Youth Programs at Dunn’s Corners Church are an important part of the whole Christian Education experience.

Children at DCCCP are invited to join in a variety of activities:

Church School

Our Preschool and Kindergarten through second grade program is using “Growing in Grace and Gratitude”, a Presbyterian curriculum.

Third through sixth Grade will be working on a number of “threads” again this year.
The first thread will be a “make it and take it craft” series and will be followed by a drama
thread and then a music thread.

For those in 7th through 12th grade, there will be Church school on the second and
third Sundays of the month (also on the fifth Sunday if there happens to be one). On the
first Sunday of each month the youth will be in Worship for Communion, and on the
fourth Sunday of each month, two of our youth will be serving as Worship Assistants.
All of our youth will be in Worship to support our friends!

Youth trips

Two youth trips are usually planned for the summer: Massenetta Springs Middle School Youth Conference and Montreat Senior High Youth Conference.

G.P.S. (God’s Path Seekers)

GPS  meets once a month from 6 to 8 p.m. GPS welcomes children in grades kindergarten through 8th grade. It is a Bible-based program that includes food, fellowship, songs, games, activities and crafts, and is open to our Church families as well as to families in the community.  GPS is led by church volunteers. The current schedule is printed in The Scribe.

V.B.S. (Vacation Bible School)

VBS is a week-long program held at the church each summer and led by church volunteers. A variety of activities such as singing, crafts and bible time are built around a specific bible theme.

Annual Egg Hunt

We sponsor a community egg hunt each year on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.  Kids hunt for eggs, decorate cookies, and hear the story of Jesus’ walk to the cross.

Here are two videos from the 2016 Egg Hunt:
