Each local church is governed by a body of elected elders called the Session. These ruling elders, together with the Pastor, are responsible for the spiritual leadership and oversight of the congregation, as well as the administration of the church.

Elders are men and women from the congregation who help guide and oversee the church’s ministries. They support the work of the staff while also providing thoughtful oversight. Elected by the congregation and ordained for service by the Pastor, Elders are individuals of wisdom, spiritual maturity, and compassionate leadership. They are called to uphold the church’s faithfulness to the Word of God while nurturing and strengthening the life and faith of the congregation.
“Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:1-3
