Children are a blessing to our worshipping community. They are welcome at either the 8am or 10am service, although they generally attend the 10am service which is when Church School is offered.

After the children’s message at the 10am service, the children move out of the church sanctuary to work on a song with Choir director Andy Wallace. They sing, play percussion instruments or learn chimes. Then on to Church school for a bible story and a craft.
On Communion Sunday’s, children return to the Sanctuary to partake of Communion with their parents. On other days, children meet their parents after Church school in Fellowship Hall for snacks and beverages.
Church School is held from September through June, following the local school calendar, for children aged Preschool through Grade 6.

Children’s Programs at Dunn’s Corners Church are an important part of our church family. Children at DCCCP are invited to join in a variety of activities.
Vacation Bible Camp
Summertime brings a week of Vacation Bible Camp. Each day brings new activity to learn about God’s creation. We sing songs, play games and learn Bible stories.

Annual Egg Hunt
For over 35 years, we have sponsored a free community egg hunt each year.
The hunt is usually on the Saturday before Palm Sunday if weather permits. Children hunt for eggs, decorate cookies, and hear the story of Jesus’ walk to the cross and his triumphant resurrection.

“Allow the children to come to me,” Jesus said. “Don’t forbid them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people like these children.” Matthew 19:14
