People seek church membership for many reasons. They would like to increase their connection to God. They would like to deepen their faith, answer questions about life, or be part of a supportive community of Christians.
Sometimes they have been involved in other churches and would like to put their experience to work here at DCCCP. Sometimes they have never been involved in a church before, and wonder what it’s all about. We welcome your exploration.
All who have been baptized and profess faith in Christ are eligible for membership. From time to time, Pastor Gin will offer a short membership class to discuss the meaning and purpose of membership in the Presbyterian Church. Please contact the church office to express your interest
The PC(USA) Book of Order says this about membership:
“… A faithful member bears witness to God’s love and grace and promises to be involved responsibly in the ministry of Christ’s Church,
proclaiming the good news in word and deed,
taking part in the common life and worship of a congregation,
lifting one another up in prayer, mutual concern, and active support.
